Moesha was born to Rtd. Major Boduong and the late Tina Boduong in Accra, Ghana.
Moesha is a Sissala girl from the Upper West Region of Ghana.
The actress’s biological mother, Tina Boduong sadly died when she (Moesha) was young.
Rtd. Major Boduong single-handedly raised Moesha together with her other siblings after the death of their mother, Tina Boduong.
She is the fourth of 5 siblings and the first born of two of her biological mother.
Her other three siblings who are the elderly are from her another woman (stepmother).
Moesha loved dancing at an early age and usually won the dancing completions she was part of.

In 2018, Moesha was featured in a CNN documentary with iconic broadcast personality, Christie Amanpour.
After the CNN interview, Moesha was harshly criticized, lambasted, and chastised by many Ghanaians including John Dumelo, Lydia Forson, Eazzy, DKB, and Efia Odo who felt insulted by what she (Moesha) said.
In the said interview, she talked about how ladies like her have to offer s3x for money in order to be able to rent decent accommodation and get all the flashy things in life.
“Right now our economy is in such a way that you just need someone to take care of you. You can’t make enough money here as a woman. Even when you want to get an apartment here in Ghana, you pay two years in advance, and I have just started working, where will I get that money to pay for an apartment for two years?” Moesha quizzed.
When asked whether she was having sex with her guy essentially to pay her rent, this is what Moesha said:
“Because he can afford to take care of you. Well he takes care of me, my financial stuff, my apartment, my car, my rent, everything.
“My man expects me to be loyal, and just to date him only, and give him sex when he wants it.”
After the public backlash, Moesha finally apologized for her remarks in the CNN interview.
Christie Amanpour also pleaded with the public not to shame Moesha Boduong and even called on President Akufo-Addo and then Gender Minister, Otiko Afisa Djaba to support her.

After months of speculations, the actress-cum-model finally only admitted to the fact that she’s had liposuction to enhance the shape of her stomach and not her big buttocks.
She disclosed this when she made an appearance on Nana Ama McBrown’s Kitchen show.
“After many Ghanaians claimed I had surgically worked on my ass, then I said you know what, if they say I have done it, then let me go and do it but I didn’t work on my ass.
“I only did it on my stomach by taking some fat away which enhanced my shape but people didn’t even notice,” Moesha told Nana Ama McBrown.

Moesha has a foundation which has the theme: “Every Child Matters”.
In May, 2019, in celebrating her 29th birthday, Moesha visited her hometown, Sissala district in the Upper West Region of Ghana, and donated various items including rice, bottled water, school bags, books, pens, and other learning materials to the students of Billaw Basic School.
