Is Paul Adom-Otchere A Lawyer?
Ever since Paul Adom-Otchere got appointed by President Akufo-Addo of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, many people, especially sympathizers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), have descended heavily on him (Paul) for holding himself out as a lawyer when, according to them, he is not.
Paul’s critics claim that he did not even pass his law entrance exams, let alone become a lawyer.
Paul Adom Otchere, too, has also not helped matters at all by simply clarifying whether or not he is a professional lawyer.
When a facebook user (obviously an NDC sympathizer) by name, Mensah Afrikanous, asked in the comment section of a post of Paul Adom Otchere by stating:
“I posed a simple question, you were not able to answer. Are you a professional lawyer or anything close to that?”
Paul Adom Otchere savagely replied:
“Mensah Afrkanous, am a cook, do [you] want beans stew?”
Paul Adom Otchere Is Not A Lawyer – Rockson Dafeamekpor
During the 2020 Election Petition filed by former President John Mahama at the Supreme Court of Ghana, the NDC Member of Parliament (MP) for South Dayi and legal practitioner (lawyer), Rockson Nelson Dafeamekpor, boldly called out Paul Adom Otchere for holding himself out as a lawyer when he is not.
The ranking member on Legal and Constitutional Committee of Parliament, launched a scathing attack on Paul Adom-Otchere because he (Rockson) felt the latter (Paul) had been using his ‘Good Evening Ghana’ program as a propaganda tool to promote the New Patriotic Party instead of being neutral and impartial in his presentation as an ace broadcast journalist.
He therefore called on all members of the NDC to boycott the Good Evening Ghana program.
“I think we (Ndc) must boycott Good Evening Ghana. It’s now a key propaganda forum for Paul Adom Otchere to churn out loads of non fa.
“It’s a program that means nothing. Can’t he learn from Good Morning Ghana?
“He even holds himself out as a lawyer on the show when he is not,” Lawyer Rockson Nelson Dafeamekpor said.

What we know is that Paul Adom-Otchere is a sympathizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and also, a very good friend of President Nana Akufo-Addo.
