Husband

Nadia Buari is currently married to a Lebanese businessman she so much admires.

They have been in a relationship for more than 13 years.

In June, 2019, Nadia in an interview with Zionfelix revealed why she kept her relationship with her husband and their kids away from prying eyes.

“It was my choice. People know me as a character on the screen but behind the scene, I am Nadia Buari. I am not a reality star, that’s not what I introduced to the world.

“I introduced a character so I feel like there is always supposed to be a border between my private and public life. It’s a personal choice. Now I feel my children are too young and I don’t know when they will ever be ready for this.

“They are innocent and don’t even understand the media and everything that comes with it. It will be so unfair to put them out there when they haven’t asked for it. I am just respecting the fact that they are very innocent,” Nadia Buari disclosed.

Michael Essien dated Nadia Buari

Initially, stories of former Ghanaian international Chelsea midfielder, Michael Essien dating Nadia Buaria, started as rumours.

Later events confirmed that the two lovebirds were seriously ‘chopping’ themselves.

In 2010, Michael Essien and Nadia’s almost perfect love affair went sour as the center of their relationship could no more hold.

The reason for their breakup was said to have been caused by the then ‘personal managress’ of Michael Essien, Mrs Akosua Opuni, who would later become his (Essien’s) wife.

In July, 2012, there were rumours of the former lovebirds coming back together again as new photos of them posing together at the birthday event of Ghanaian media personality, Nana Aba Anamoah held at Villaggio Primavera, popped up on the internet.

Nadia Buari, however, debunked the rumours that her ruined relationship with Michael Essien had been reignited.

“We were trying to take pictures and the media paparazzi were also taking pictures. We were to take just two shots but they were still taking a lot [of] pictures and I was really shy so I tried to leave and Essien was just trying to cover my face that’s all,” Nadia Buari explained.

Jim Ike dated Nadia Buari

After breaking up with Michael Essien, next on Nadia’s ‘hit list’ was the ‘bad boy’ of Nigeria, Jim Ike.

On May 23rd, 2013, the two lovers, who could no more keep their love affair a secret, actually confirmed it on Twitter with Jim Ike saying, “She calls me Skittles. I named her Space. D gift of laughter, companionship n trust is incomparable. BFF. Love is a f***ing beautiful thang!”.

And Nadia also had this to say:

“There comes a point in ur life wen u realise who really matters, who never did and who always will.~I named him Skittles,he calls me Space.”

Then in November, 2013, the couple had a good time on an European trip.

Whilst in Rome, the Nollywood ‘bad boy’ actor hired a mariachi band to perform while they dined at a restaurant.

Jim Ike got down on a knee and proposed to his then girlfriend, Nadia Buari.

Unfortunately for Nadia in that same year (2013), her relationship with the Nollywood actor could not withstand the test of time as rumours of Jim Ike having a bad temper, being a womanizer and not paying attention to her (Nadia) surfaced online.
