Who is Bosom P-Yung in Ghana?

Bosom P-Yung is a Ghanaian hip hop artiste, singer, songwriter, and record producer with great sense of humour.

The ‘Attaa Adwoa’ hitmaker started as the hype man for young Ghanaian rapper, Kweku Smoke.

Bosom P-Yung aka Koofori has a unique of sense fashion, and comes with some wild dance moves that can even resurrect the dead. Oh, really?! Yep! looolx

Always spotting a fire red-dyed hair as his trade mark, Bosom P-Yung took the Ghanaian entertainment media space by storm after releasing his ever popular song, “Attaa Adwoa” — the song that would forever change his life.

Meaning of Bosom P-Yung (PYung)

His name “Bosom” is a ‘Twi’ word which means a lesser god, and he considers himself as the only lesser god with a foreign name — which is, “P-Yung”. Funny, huh?!

The ‘P’ in ‘P-Yung’ stands for Prince which is his actual first name and the ‘Yung’ means the youngest son of five siblings of his family.

Early Life, Parents, Family, Hometown

Known in private life as Prince Ofori aka Koofori, Bosom P-Yung was born to a Cocoa purchasing clerk father and mother in Berekum in the Bono Ahaho Region.

He is the youngest of five children of his parents and was raised in in his hometown, Berekum.

The “Attaa Adwoa” hit-maker lived in Berekum and Sunyani in the Bono Ahafo Region, and also Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, before relocating to Accra to stay with a childhood friend at Ofankor, Accra, Ghana.

Bosom P-Yung SHS & University Education

Bosom P-Yung had his senior high education at Kumasi Anglican Senior High School (KASS) in Kumasi, Ashanti Region of Ghana where he offered General Arts.

He studied Political Science, Information Studies, and Sociology at the the University of Ghana, Legon, Accra.

Is Bosom PYung’s style of music unique?

The ‘Attaa Adwoa’ hit-maker’s style of music has been considered by some as unique whilst others also contend that he copied his style from international artistes like Lil Wayne, Yung Thug, and Lil Uzi Vert.

Bosom P-Yung claims that what he does is ‘Traditional Trap Music’ which is a new genre of music he has introduced to the world.

According to him, his new ‘Traditional Trap genre of music is a mixture of everything from Highlife to Hiplife, Reggae to Hip Hop, among others.

The Attaa Adwoa Song Inspiration

Bosom P-Yung claims that the main inspiration behind his ever popular ‘Attaa Adwoa song was a heartbreak he suffered some time ago.

According to the ‘Traditional Trapper’, the first girlfriend he ever had in his life was ‘Attaa Adwoa‘ who he loved to bits.

Sadly enough, his one and only ‘Attaa Adwoa’ who he trusted so much broke his heart and even stepped on it, literally.

Out of the pain brought upon him by the heartbreak, Bosom P-Yung who went to the studio feeling lonely, started ‘kicking things’ hoping that would mend his heart but NOPE!.

And as he sat reminiscing the good and the bad times he had with his ‘Attaa Adwoa’ girlfriend, and how all his friends had left him making him feel lonely, the ‘Ataa Adwoa’ song just dropped from the heavens.

Until the ‘Attaa Adwoa’ song became popular, Bosom P-Yung was virtually unknown — in fact, no Ghanaian knew he existed except his close friends and relatives.

FLOW RHYTHMZ — an avenue for both new and mainstream artistes to shine — featured and shot a video in a studio for Bosom P-Yung’s Attaa Adwoa and premiered it on Youtube on January 1st, 2020.

A short video of ‘Attaa Adwoa‘ was shared on Twitter and others kept on sharing it for its uniqueness.

Sarkodie on January 6th, 2020 joined the fray and shared the short video of ‘Attaa Adwoa’ across all his social media handles and that marked the beginning of the success of ‘Attaa Adwoa’ and its popularity today.

Grammy award-winning music producer Diplo requests to remix ‘Attaa Adwoa’

After popular Afro pop artiste, Mr Eazi tweeted just 20 seconds of ‘Attaa Adwoa’, Diplo who is an international music producer requested to work with the original author, Bosom P-Yung.
